     The victim in a 2009 car crash has been awarded $1.1 million for pain and suffering after a tractor-trailer ran over her car and dragged it down the street. Evelyn Coneo, a resident of Edison, needed a plate and four screws implanted in her neck and tore a rotator cuff in the accident, said her attorney, Nick Leonardis, of Stathis and Leonardis.

    Four members of a family who were injured while passengers in a delivery van accepted to a settlement worth $3.4Million says their attorney Nicholas J. Leonardis. The vehicles driver fell asleep and the van overturned on the Pelham Parkway in The Bronx. One of the minor plaintiffs received $350,000 in a structure settlement expected to pay $3,362,420 over his lifetime.

    A woman who was struck by a construction vehicle which entered here lane attempting to illegally pass another car settled her Middlesex County case for $1.35 Million says her Attorney Nicholas J. Traffic behind plaintiff also stopped. The defendant who was employed by a construction company did not see the line of cars stopped ahead of him and could not stop. He crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck the plaintiff in the drivers door as she proceeded to make her left turn.  The plaintiff injured her shoulder and suffered disc herniations to both her Neck And Back. She required both a Cervical Fusion surgery as well as shoulder surgery says Attorney Leonardis.  
  • $1 Million For Automobile Injuries

    Arora v. Pombar: A woman who underwent back surgeries for an injury sustained in a highway rear-end collision settled her Middlesex County case for $815.000 on Dec. 1.In September 2011, Neeru Arora, then 43, was stopped in traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woodbridge, N.J. Another motorist driving a box truck struck the vehicle immediately behind Arora's, which in turn struck the rear of her vehicle, according to her lawyer, Nicholas Leonardis of Stathis & Leonardis in Edison, N.J. The truck driver, Michael Pombar, was working for a trucking company  FDR Transport LLC. Arora suffered a lumbar disc herniation, which required a discogram and microdiscectomy. She underwent a second back procedure because of complications stemming from the first—a piece of the disc broke off—and has some residual pain, Leonardis said.The parties failed to settle at mandatory arbitration, and a trial date was set.
